As we continue to scale our healthcare and enterprise partnerships, we’re expanding our Government Relations function and are looking for a Government Relations Lead to help advance ŌURA’s federal policy priorities. This role is grounded in government relations and healthcare policy, while also requiring comfort operating across a broad range of issues and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong healthcare policy background, understands business and revenue considerations, and can flex between strategic thinking and hands‑on execution while partnering closely with teams across Human Performance (HP), Healthcare, Legal, and Commercial.
While this is a remote opportunity, due to the specific requirements of the role, the successful candidate must reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area and be willing to travel occasionally as needed.
## What You’ll Do
– **Support federal strategy** — Support and help execute ŌURA’s federal government relations strategy, with a focus on healthcare, human performance, access, and revenue‑related policy issues
– **Align policy efforts** — Work closely with ŌURA’s Human Performance (HP) and healthcare teams to ensure policy efforts are aligned with clinical, research, and enterprise priorities
– **Monitor developments** — Monitor, assess, and communicate relevant legislative, regulatory, and political developments that may impact ŌURA’s business, partnerships, or growth opportunities
– **Develop policy materials** — Develop policy positions, advocacy materials, and briefings that translate complex healthcare and technology topics into clear, business‑relevant insights
– **Build relationships** — Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress, Congressional staff, trade associations, federal agencies, and other key external stakeholders to educate and advocate on ŌURA’s policy priorities
– **Support engagements** — Support and coordinate meetings, briefings, and engagements on Capitol Hill and with external partners as needed
– **Manage associations** — Assist in managing ŌURA’s participation in relevant trade associations, coalitions, and industry groups, ensuring alignment with company objectives
– **Operate cross‑functionally** — Operate comfortably across multiple workstreams, stepping in to support emerging priorities, time‑sensitive issues, and cross‑functional initiatives as the business evolves
## What We’re Looking For
– **Healthcare policy background** — Background in healthcare policy, government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, preferably within health tech, medtech, life sciences, or a related field
– **Experience with Congress** — Experience engaging with Congress, federal agencies, and trade associations
– **Policy–business insight** — Strong understanding of how public policy intersects with business strategy, enterprise partnerships, and revenue growth
– **Cross‑functional skills** — Ability to work cross‑functionally and translate policy developments into actionable guidance for business teams
– **Strategic and hands‑on** — Comfortable balancing strategic priorities with hands‑on execution in a fast‑moving environment
– **Strong communication** — Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– **DC‑based** — DC‑based, travel as needed, and regularly engage on Capitol Hill

ŌURA takes a market‑based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost‑of‑labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates’ pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
The following is the market‑based range for Washington, DC:
**Region 2: $154,700 – $182,000**
