### Position Summary
This position will help support the work of the Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) Farmer Relations & Outreach Team in developing and implementing key components of the annual plan. This work includes project management for select internal and external meetings, day-to-day management of website, social media and other digital projects, farmer-focused communications materials, and team management/administrative support, among other activities. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience. Strong project/content management and writing/communications skills are required.
### Key Accountabilities
#### Farmer Relations:
– Coordinate timelines and manage projects to support farmer meetings and events, using Monday.com/other project management software
– Support farmer relations teams of key deadlines/milestones to ensure projects stay on track
– Maintain national, state, and regional checkoff group lists
#### Farmer Outreach:
– Support development of farmer-focused website working collaboration with content/technical agency and lead day-to-day updates and maintenance once the site is live (anticipated summer 2024)
– Participate in the planning and posting of farmer-focused social media content (primarily Facebook and YouTube); support management in executing the Making Every Drop Count grassroots farmer initiative, using Monday.com/other project management software
– Support and provide back up for overall campaign management led by DMI Director of Farmer Outreach; project management and create farmer-focused communications materials
#### Board Relations/Annual Meeting:
– Provide project management support for five board meetings and one annual meeting, using Monday.com/other project management software
– Participate in internal planning team meetings and board-focused resources
– Post timely updates at DMI board portal
#### Administration and Operations:
– Maintain and update Farmer Relations & Outreach content and materials to the Dairy Checkoff Exchange
– Support other department operations, processes, and planning, where appropriate
### Requirements
#### Position Requirements:
– Keen attention to detail and fluidity in adapting to evolving conditions, assignments, and deadlines
– Ability to coordinate effectively with an integrated team with various personalities and skill sets, and cultivate relationships across various disciplines (e.g., project management, digital, analytics/measurement/evaluation)
#### Minimum Qualifications:
**Education & Experience:**
– Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field
– Must have at least three years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, or related fields
– Agriculture, commodity checkoff, or trade association experience preferred
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
– Must have strong content/project management (including working with applicable management platforms), and written/verbal communications skills
– Proficient in Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
– Demonstrate ability to effectively multi-task, delegate, and manage assignments
