We seek a highly motivated individual with a passion for writing and driving cause-oriented research focused on health policy. The ideal candidate has a clear and engaging writing voice, extensive research and analysis skills, and has experience in grassroots development/communications being well versed in how to proactively and effectively communicate our company’s position to both internal and external leaders. Must be a self-starter that can thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate easily with others.

Grow, refine, and maintain a robust data base of research resources, key contact/relationship data.
Develop work plans to expand HCA Healthcare Government Relations utilizing current resources.
Develop recommendations to Government Relations leadership team on trends, and best practices and identify additional resources as needed via internal/external service providers.
Serve as the primary resource for the Government Relations team for the coordination of research data, written communications, website content development, social media, publications/articles, case studies, advocacy handbook, tool kits, and other resources that may be identified.
Develop an integrated database of stakeholder, policy maker interactions, and background information for local, state, and federal stakeholders including organizations, government agencies, policy makers, and community leaders.
Serve as the point of contact for all external contractors who provide the above mentioned resources.
Work with our GR team in coordination with Federation of American Hospitals, American Hospital Association, and other state associations in the areas of research, social media, and campaign development to best reflect HCA Healthcare’s interests.

Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”
5 + Years of Experience in writing/ outreach/ advocacy/ campaign experience or equivalent combination of education and/ or experience
Bachelor’s Degree Data Science, CIS, Public Policy, or Journalism
Experience with communications, journalism, social advocacy organizations, campaigns
Communicate with Impact: Ability to deliver information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to effectively engage others and achieve desired results.
Strong computer Skills: Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Proficient with major social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Analytics; In addition working knowledge of web based research/advocacy tools to include, VoterVOICE, State Net, CQ and other trade group/association resources.
