The American Conservation Coalition is seeking an experienced grassroots operative to spearhead its Mobilization program and related efforts.
Reporting directly to ACC’s Political Director, the Mobilization Manager helps our mobilization teams identify and support grassroots talent across the country and build a bench of aligned members of Congress.
This is a full-time, exempt position with a preference for candidates based in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Remote candidates will be considered.
Responsibilities
Collaborate across departments to develop engagement strategies for ACC’s target communities.
Build and support strong community leadership to expand ACC’s broader base of members and volunteers who can be relied on during election cycles.
Plan, coordinate, and host well-attended educational events within target communities, working with community leadership when possible.
Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen ACC’s presence and influence in key districts and communities.
Propose and implement improvements as the program grows and scales.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with campaign and official-side teams.
Balance responsibilities between c3-side community building and c4-side political activities, including mobilization and events.
Work with Comms to identify media opportunities, ensuring ACC’s work is covered and local leaders and members are featured.
Provide regular program progress updates to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
Travel as needed to target districts to support program goals.
Qualifications
2+ years of political grassroots experience (campaigns or advocacy orgs)
Experience working in political field team(s)
Strong working knowledge of political dynamics within the GOP/conservative movement
Familiarity with grassroots mobilization and advocacy
Experience in 501(c)(4) organizations strongly preferred. Experience with PACs is considered a bonus
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000, dependent on experience. Performance-based bonuses may be available.
