The GoFundMe Pro team is searching for our next **Nonprofit Communications Lead** to lead executive communications and strategic storytelling in support of our nonprofit business, including our B2B software, GoFundMe Pro. This individual will play a key role in elevating the company’s voice across the nonprofit and social impact sectors.

The Nonprofit Communications Lead will serve as a strategic communications partner to senior leadership, particularly our Chief Customer Growth Officer, helping shape executive thought leadership, drive product and industry storytelling, and manage media opportunities that reinforce GoFundMe’s leadership in the nonprofit sector. This role requires strong executive presence, exceptional writing and editing skills, a passion for the nonprofit sector and mission‑driven work, and the ability to drive cross‑functional communications initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings a mix of corporate communications, executive communications, media relations, and B2B storytelling experience, with a deep understanding of the nonprofit, philanthropy, or social impact landscape.

# The Job

## Executive Communications & Thought Leadership
– **Strategic leadership** — Serve as a communications partner to senior leadership, supporting executive visibility and thought leadership within the nonprofit and fundraising technology sectors.
– **Executive content development** — Draft and edit op‑eds, keynote remarks, LinkedIn posts, and other written communications.
– **Social media alignment** — Partner with the social media team to ensure consistent messaging aligned with company priorities.
– **Speaking preparation** — Write remarks, develop presentation materials, and shape key messages.
– **Media opportunities** — Identify and secure podcast appearances, press interviews, and support executive preparation and staffing.

## Media Relations & Storytelling
– **Story identification** — Identify compelling stories that highlight GoFundMe’s nonprofit impact, innovation, and community outcomes.
– **Media pitching** — Pitch stories to national, sector, and trade media covering nonprofits, philanthropy, fundraising technology, and social impact.
– **Industry outreach** — Lead outreach to nonprofit and industry publications and podcasts to increase visibility for GoFundMe Pro and its customers.

## Product & Corporate Communications
– **Product launch communications** — Support communications for GoFundMe Pro product launches and announcements.
– **Content development** — Develop content reinforcing GoFundMe Pro’s leadership in nonprofit fundraising and donor engagement.
– **Data‑driven insights** — Serve as communications lead for GoFundMe Pro reports and insights, ensuring clarity and impact.

## Cross‑Functional Leadership
– **Cross‑team collaboration** — Work closely with product, marketing, partnerships, and leadership teams.
– **Project management** — Manage complex communications initiatives and timelines.
– **Messaging guidance** — Provide senior‑level guidance on narrative development and communications opportunities.

## Crisis Communications & Incident Response
– **Crisis messaging** — Support incident response and crisis communications, helping develop messaging during sensitive situations.
– **Cross‑functional coordination** — Partner with legal, product, and leadership teams to ensure clear and consistent communications.

# You

– **8+ years** in product communications, executive communications, corporate communications, public relations, or strategic communications.
– Experience supporting **executive thought leadership**, including op‑eds, keynote remarks, and executive social media.
– Experience supporting **B2B or enterprise products**, ideally in technology, SaaS, or platform companies.
– Strong **media relations** experience with a track record of securing interviews and speaking opportunities.
– Exceptional **writing, editing, and storytelling** skills.
– Experience working **cross‑functionally** with product, marketing, and leadership teams.
– Experience supporting **crisis communications** or incident response.
– Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

### Preferred
– Familiarity with and passion for the **nonprofit, philanthropy, fundraising, or social impact sectors**, including the media landscape covering these areas.

# Compensation

The annual U.S. salary range for this full‑time position is **$145,000 – $218,000**. The company also offers equity and benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k). Pay may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, or training.
