Position Summary
NMHC is seeking an experienced Political Action Committee (PAC) professional to support our advocacy goals and manage the daily operations and administration of NMHC PAC.

Essential Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Support the comprehensive PAC efforts and strategy for NMHC and collaborate with NMHC staff and members to ensure alignment with the organization’s advocacy goals;

Manage the administrative functions for NMHC PAC including resource management and disbursement, fundraising operations, compliance responsibilities, event planning and communications, specifically:

Oversee and prepare all record-keeping for NMHC PAC.

Handle NMHC PAC receipts and disbursements.

Develop NMHC PAC reports and other communications for internal and external purposes.

Manage Lobbying Disclose Act (LDA) compliance efforts including preparation and submittal of required filings.

Support NMHC PAC’s fundraising efforts, including donor outreach and engagement, development of fundraising campaigns and campaign materials and other initiatives to grow and sustain NMHC PAC;

Assist NMHC Government Affairs team and lobbyists to develop deployment strategies of NMHC PAC resources, including budgeting and disbursement monitoring and analysis;

Maintain a working knowledge of the federal political landscape and sustain a network of key stakeholders;

Collaborate across NMHC teams to promote NMHC PAC through conference and programming efforts;

Work to promote the mission of NMHC and our members, elevate perception of the rental housing industry and carry out efforts that advance NMHC strategic goals and objectives;

Build and maintain strong relationships with NMHC members, coalition and partner organizations and others in furtherance of NMHC goals and objectives; and

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree

Work-related experience in PAC administration, fundraising or campaign management

3-5 years of relevant experience in PAC or political fundraising operations

Strongly preferred experience with campaign finance and election laws.

Knowledge of the political and legislative process

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Strong evidence of being an effective team player in diverse environments

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks effectively as well as to work independently with minimum supervision required

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Prior experience with Quorum PAC software or similar software is a plus
