### Location and Benefits

### Position: Reimbursement & State Legislative Manager
The Reimbursement & State Legislative Manager advances the strategic goals of the department through advocacy related to state legislature/regulation involving emergency physicians, Medicaid and private insurer payment practices, and the interests of EM in the development of medical practice.
### Qualifications
Applicants should have exceptional writing and analytical skills, strong decision-making skills, and be able to work in a deadline-driven environment.
Our ideal candidate has:
– A bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, business administration, or a medical field.
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public policy and advocacy work, preferably at the state level and ideally in health care or reimbursement arenas.
– Demonstrated success in implementing programs, strategic priorities, and database management.
Other desired qualifications include experience advocating on issues related to physician reimbursement, familiarity with RUC processes as well as CPT and ICD-10 coding, a master’s degree in a relevant field, and membership association experience.
