Senior Analyst

Position Description
As an ACORE Senior Analyst, you will support the creation of high-quality research products, analysis, and educational materials on the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the renewable energy sector; experience in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis; and a demonstrated track record of producing high-quality written materials.

This position is based in Washington, D.C. ACORE has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework. ACORE believes in a healthy work environment and has a COVID vaccination policy in place. All employees must be fully vaccinated and receive a booster shot to work in our offices.

 

Key job duties

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research related to renewable energy deployment, investment, supply chain issues, and economic development
  • Analyze the market impacts of proposed and recently enacted renewable energy policies
  • Work with the programs and policy teams to prepare, review, and fact check high-quality publications, including white papers, blogs, comment letters, and presentations
  • Help manage relationships with consultants and external partners working on ACORE publications or otherwise engaged in joint efforts
  • Respond to media and member inquiries for industry data
  • Support other tasks as assigned

 

Required skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree required, postgraduate degree a plus
  • Four+ years of experience in research and analysis of clean energy or climate policy issues
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite required; experience with database management systems preferred
  • Experience with quantitative analysis is highly desired
  • Must be highly organized, thorough, and diligent, with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, editing, and communication skills
  • A collaborative and collegial work style

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000.
