Dentons Global Advisors (DGA) Senior Associate Position

Dentons Global Advisors (DGA), a multidisciplinary advisory firm and European public affairs consultancy, is looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Senior Associate to support the Brussels team in servicing the needs of our growing client base, in particular for our agri-food practice. Our food and beverage portfolio includes global companies, industry associations, and public-private partnerships.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis of EU agri-food policy developments and assessing their impact on clients, in order to deliver strategic on agri-food policy issues.
  • Help developing tailored advocacy strategies to address clients’ needs and achieve their policy goals in the agri-food policy sector.
  • Representing clients’ interests in relevant EU fora, drafting position papers, policy briefs, and engaging policymakers.
  • Participating in client meetings, which involves preparing materials and actively engaging with clients throughout the process.
  • Supporting business development efforts, including contributing to proposal writing and client pitches.

Requirements:

  • Master degree in EU affairs, public policy, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in EU institutions or public affairs
  • Strong understanding of EU institutions and decision-making processes
  • Ability to analyse policy issues, identify key stakeholders, and assess their implications for clients
  • Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the EU agri-food policy landscape
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex policy issues clearly
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative strategies to achieve client objectives
  • Fluent English, proficiency in other EU languages is a plus
  • Strong organisational, time management and interpersonal skills
