This position will engage directly with executive leadership of the company, elected and appointed officials and their staffs, industry associations, and other stakeholders in the advancement of TransUnion’s public policy and public affairs objectives.
What You’ll Bring
- 8-10 years of policy or political experience on consumer data technology, privacy, or financial services matters.
- Demonstrable track record of legislative and/or regulatory success with state elected officials and regulators.
- Deep understanding of state legislative and regulatory procedures and political processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience creating and effectively delivering factual, relevant, and easily understandable talking points and other messaging.
- Executive presence and superior communication skills.
Impact You’ll Make
- In collaboration with VP, Head of US Government Relations, counsel internal business leaders on political dynamics and strategies to advance public policy objectives.
- Manage external counsel and strategically engage with trade associations and partner coalitions.
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with public officials and policy groups across the political spectrum.
- Design and implement strategies for executing on TransUnion’s overarching government relations objectives through direct advocacy. Negotiate directly with elected and appointed officials and their staffs on legislative and regulatory issues impacting TransUnion.
- Build and maintain relationships with key public officials and serve as a TransUnion ambassador with key external stakeholders.
- Assess and implement best practices for an industry-leading corporate government affairs program.
- Position TransUnion as a leader in the risk, data, analytics, and information policy discussions through engagement with peers and industry associations.
- Oversee regulatory impact analysis program and related associates.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information
The salary range for this position is $180,205.00 – $305,500.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job and does not include our bonus incentive(s). This position is eligible for bonus incentive(s). At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
