### About the Job

The Manager, Youth Advocacy develops and oversees the Ambassador program, focusing on training, recruiting, and supporting young adult activists. This role involves creating and revising training curricula, coaching high-level activists, and facilitating public presentation and engagement strategies. The manager will also foster relationships with former ambassadors, external organizations, and community leaders to recruit new activists and build skills and resources for communities. Additional responsibilities include managing CRM tools, coordinating youth engagement for contractual obligations, and collaborating with the Outreach team and other youth engagement projects.

### Duties/Responsibilities

– **Develop and manage newly updated Ambassador (young adult activism program) along with Outreach team leadership.**
– **Develop and revise ambassador training curriculum and ongoing education for ambassadors and high-level youth and young adult leaders.**
– **Provide training on public presentation skills, coalition building, policy power mapping, and engagement strategies that integrate organizational policy priorities.**
– **Develop recruitment strategies and tactics to recruit new ambassadors to the program, including managing onboarding and offboarding processes throughout the year.**
– **Provide extensive coaching and management for high-level activists, including monthly check-ins and trainings.**
– Build and foster relationships with former ambassadors and trainers, as well as other youth-serving groups to help recruit more activists into our program and to provide skills and resources to communities.
– Develop educational materials, trainings, toolkits, and other resources for ambassadors and for them to use in the field.
– Facilitate trainings for activists and partners as needed, particularly as part of monthly trainings, summits, conferences, and other events.
– **Manage ambassador and youth engagement where Truth Initiative has contractual obligations to provide youth leadership.**
– Co-manage CRM tools for ambassadors needed for on-the-ground engagement.
– Collaborate with external organizations and community leaders to recruit, train, and mobilize local activists to engage with decision-makers.
– Participate in other Youth engagement team projects and represent the team in organizational projects and meetings as needed.

### Required Qualifications

– Minimum 4-6 years in coaching and/or grassroots organizing, preferred in youth/young adult audiences and within BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ communities.
– Minimum 4-6 years of experience in facilitating trainings with proof of successful completion and understanding of concepts from trainees.
– Minimum 4-6 years of experience in designing and perfecting training content and curriculum.
– Minimum 3-4 years of experience in building relationships among diverse partners, including representing a team or organization in external settings.
– Experience and skills in CRM tools and effective ways to communicate with the activist base.

This position is based in Washington, D.C. with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office and two telework days.

### Compensation Package

The salary range for this role starts at $80,000-$90,000 on a national basis. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, relevant work experience, skillset, internal equity, location, and certifications, consistent with applicable law. Salary is just one part of our total rewards package, which additionally includes equity, performance bonuses for eligible roles, and competitive benefits.
