## Summary
This position operates at the intersection of legal operations, project management, and litigation support, with a focus on executing core processes and continuously improving upon them to empower department operations and litigation. This position will be based in InterDigital’s Wilmington, Delaware office and will report to the Head of Legal Operations.
The successful candidate must have: five or more years of previous experience working within a Legal Department; knowledge of legal e‑billing tools and processes; strong communication skills; passion for rendering customer‑service oriented support; and the ability to think critically, problem‑solve, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and deliver high‑quality work product. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic culture with many challenges and opportunities and is execution‑focused, detail‑oriented, and exceptional at working cross‑functionally with professionals throughout the InterDigital organization.

## Responsibilities
### Legal Invoicing & Vendor Management – 30%
– **Day‑to‑day matter management** — Provide the day‑to‑day management of matters in Legal Tracker, including new matter creation, first‑level review of invoices, and report creation.
– **Vendor onboarding** — Ensure a timely and smooth onboarding process for new legal vendors.
– **Vendor support** — Provide primary day‑to‑day support and resolution of questions, errors, or other issues for legal vendors (e.g., law firms, experts, legal service providers).
– **Cross‑functional collaboration** — Active collaboration and communication with colleagues in finance, accounting, information systems, patents, and legal globally.
### Legal Project Management – 40%
Provide project management support for Legal Department process and technology initiatives as directed by the Head of Legal Operations.
This may include:
– **Project planning** — Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and status reporting.
– **Stakeholder coordination** — Fostering collaboration and accountability across stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
– **Structured problem‑solving** — Applying structured problem‑solving and prioritizing action to keep projects moving forward.
– **Technology and automation** — Championing technology solutions, automation, and AI‑driven tools to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
– **Process improvement** — Actively identifying inefficiencies and supporting process improvement initiatives.
– **Process documentation** — Documenting and standardizing processes to enable consistency and knowledge sharing.
– **Training and enablement** — Supporting training and enablement for new systems, processes, and workflows.
### Litigation Support – 30%
Provide support to the InterDigital Litigation Team, including:
– **Team communications management** — Active management of team communications, organization, and filing of legal pleadings.
– **Discovery support** — Supporting the management of document collections and discovery processes, coordinating with internal teams, outside counsel, and vendors.
– **Legalizations and notarizations** — Facilitating legalizations and coordinating notarizations of corporate documents as needed.
– **External communications** — Communicating with outside counsel, experts, and consultants as instructed.
– **Legal research and document prep** — Performing legal research or preparing documents as instructed.

## Qualifications
– **Experience requirement** — A minimum of 5 years of previous experience working within a corporate legal department, law firm, or legal service provider as a paralegal and/or in a legal operations role, preferably in litigation, the technology sector, or a highly regulated industry.
– **Education** — A minimum education requirement of an Associate’s Degree. A Paralegal certification and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
– **Communication skills** — Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– **Deadline management** — Ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and deliver high‑quality work product, balancing attention to detail with timely execution.
– **Customer‑service orientation** — Experience operating with attention to detail and rendering customer‑service oriented support.
– **Problem‑solving mindset** — A curious mindset, adaptable approach, and independent problem‑solving abilities.
– **Legal tech proficiency** — Proficiency with legal technology, with knowledge and experience using legal e‑billing tools, preferably Legal Tracker.
– **Microsoft Office & AI tools** — Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini).
– **Project management** — A minimum of 3 years of legal project management experience. PMP certification preferred.
Location: Wilmington, Delaware preferred; 3 days in the office required.
