Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Manager, Global People Communications located in US Remote or Austin, TX On Site.

The Senior Manager will:

  • Set the internal communications strategy.
  • Execute campaigns in support of Human Resources, Sustainability, and Ethics.
  • Oversee the strategic and programmatic (not technical) operations of the HR Portal, our platform for communicating both global and local HR program information.

This role will report to the Director, Function & Operations Communications and collaborate closely with the Function Communications Specialist.


Responsibilities

What a typical day looks like:

  • Partner closely with HR, Sustainability, and Ethics teams to understand their function strategy and priorities, provide strategic counsel, and create and execute campaigns to support employees, the business, and these functions.
  • Define goals, set objectives, and work in collaboration with stakeholders to deliver, measure, and adapt communications strategies.
  • Lead with an enterprise mindset, while prioritizing employee needs by delivering messages with speed, quality, and clarity.
  • Own and execute communications planning, messaging, production (in collaboration with a Creative Services team), delivery, and measurement.
  • Ensure communications are strategically positioned for impact and relevance through audience segmentation, thoughtful timing, and creative delivery of content.
  • Deliver information and engage employees through multiple formats such as:
    • Messaging and positioning documents
    • Memos, intranet content, and presentations
    • Infographics, talking points, and FAQs
    • Viva Engage social posts, live and pre-recorded webinars, townhalls, and more
  • Align with the broader communications team on storytelling, thought leadership, and integration of key messages.
  • Strategically manage the current and future HR Portal, including daily updates, maintenance, and roadmap development.
  • Ideate, plan, write, edit, publish, measure, analyze, and consult with stakeholders while building relationships and influencing outcomes.

Qualifications

The experience we’re looking for:

  • Results-oriented professional with 10+ years of strategic communications experience in a global organization.
  • Proven ability to apply strategic communication frameworks (e.g., Know, Believe, Do; Smart Brevity).
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Exceptional planning, writing, and editing skills with familiarity in Associated Press (AP) style.
  • A self-starter who thrives in collaboration and teamwork.
  • Creativity, speed, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Solid business acumen and sound decision-making skills.
  • Accountability and project management expertise, demonstrated by successfully taking projects, programs, and campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Experience monitoring, measuring, and analyzing metrics to evaluate communications effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with creative services processes, including creating briefs and managing workflows.
  • Experience managing intranets, newsletters, email campaigns, blogs, videos, social media content, and executive communications.
  • Familiarity with modern CommTech tools such as ActOn, Poppulo, SharePoint, Viva Engage, ClickUp, Asana, or Airtable is a plus.
