Senior Manager, Membership (Corporate)
Organization: Public Affairs Council
Location: Washington, DC
Date Posted: 10/01/2024

Are you an engaging and effective fundraising, sales, and/or relationship management professional who is passionate about connecting people to good ideas? If so, you might be a perfect addition to our high-performing team.

We are the Public Affairs Council, a well-respected, non-partisan organization of more than 750 companies and associations. As the leading international association for public affairs executives and managers, our members come to us to learn best practices, tap into expertise, and expand their professional community.

As our senior manager of membership, you will take the lead in expanding our membership through outreach and relationship building with executives at corporations, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to smaller firms from emerging industries. The good news is that as a non-political group that doesn’t just focus on one industry, we have a huge, global universe of potential members.

In this role, you will head up our corporate recruitment efforts, including identifying, cultivating, and tracking membership leads. As part of the membership team, you will also design and implement strategies for engaging and retaining our corporate members. This work requires creativity, assertiveness, enthusiasm, intelligence, a sales orientation, attention to detail, strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in public affairs.

We want to hear from you if you have a successful track record in development or fundraising, expertise in membership marketing strategies, well-developed writing and public-speaking skills and are known for delivering exceptional customer service. Bonus points if you have direct experience in public affairs or communications.

You will work with membership team colleagues who manage our database, handle invoicing, and provide support for membership recruitment/retention activities. This position reports to the senior director of membership.

The Council (www.pac.org) provides an excellent work environment, a competitive salary and benefits package (including performance bonuses), a hybrid workplace, and a location convenient to Metro’s Foggy Bottom and Farragut North stations.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and salary requirements to [email protected]. Absolutely no phone calls, please.

Earn a certificate with the Council! Start your journey today.
