The Role
The role will lead on all matters of public affairs and regulatory for Lilium in the Americas. In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Public Affairs and Partnerships, Americas and work closely with other members of the management and the commercial team. The role is based out of Washington D.C.
The company is embarking on an entirely new concept, bringing air transportation into cities and electrifying regional aviation. Thus, a large change in the thinking of people, regulators, and politicians is needed to ensure our vision becomes reality. This means engaging with members of Congress and their staff along with regulators, cities, and counties, as well as potential partners around the globe.
Our vision is bold, it is new, and it will require top global talent to make it happen. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is building on a green field, shaping the strategy and then executing it to our vision. We strongly believe that our electric air mobility service is a true benefit for cities and people around the world, with low noise and zero operational air pollution. It will enrich how we live our lives and enable many more opportunities. It will contribute to the decarbonization of transportation and spur the creation of jobs and economic growth. It will aid congested cities, rebalance urbanization, and make the dream of countryside living and city working a reality. Thanks to the low-cost infrastructure needs, it will also help governments significantly improve the infrastructure needed for the next century.
