An ideal candidate will have impeccable project management, organizational, and communication skills—both written and verbal—a good understanding of the key fiscal policy issues facing our nation, and a successful track record of working with and engaging multiple stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage and build coalitions with public policy and advocacy organizations, civic and business leaders, and former elected officials in support of the Committee’s policy work.

  • Identify and successfully recruit potential stakeholders and partner organizations to actively engage in coalition activities.

  • Convene, organize, and facilitate coalition and other stakeholder/partner meetings.

  • Oversee preparations and facilitate the building and management of coalitions and engage communications across multiple platforms.

  • Proactively identify and address the needs of coalition partners involved in advocacy and program implementation and align engagement approaches accordingly.

  • Exercise judgment to prioritize opportunities, prepare talking points, speeches, presentations, and other supporting material as needed.

Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of professional experience; Office of Management and Budget and Capitol Hill experience a plus.

  • A self-starter who is able to develop and enact multiple creative coalition initiatives.

  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills—able to establish and implement systems and identify resources to ensure successful completion of projects.

  • Strong communication skills (written & oral), extremely polished and professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills to act as one of the faces of the organization.

  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.

  • Passion for the Committee.
