Senior Director Government Relations

Overview of Position

Government Relations Senior Director will serve as Change Healthcare’s Medicaid eligibility policy expert and provide technical support to the Eligibility and Enrollment Division’s operations, product development, and Client Services teams.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Provide Medicaid eligibility policy expertise and technical support to the Change Healthcare Eligibility and Enrollment Division’s operations, product development, and account management teams.
  • Establish and/or maintain key relationships with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Social Security Administration (SSA), state Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Directors and Medicaid officials at the local, state and regional levels.
  • Identify trends that negatively impact members and company revenue and take all actions necessary to correct case specific and systemic problems.
  • Lead coordination of Medicaid eligibility data matches, externally with state Medicaid agencies and internally through Change Healthcare to obtain information about the outcome of applications and Medicaid redetermination dates.
  • Manage/Supervise the Government Relations Team, Processing Unit and QC (Paper) Department.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 8+ years of Healthcare experience
  • 3+ years of experience with federal & state laws governing Medicaid programs
  • 1+ year of project management experience (managing multiple projects simultaneously)

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Advance proficiency with Excel

General office demands

How much should I expect to travel?

Up to 20%
