Edelman is inviting applications for the position of Vice President, focusing on multicultural communications. This role involves working with globally recognized brands in various sectors such as food and beverage, tech, retail, financial services, B2B, and health. The primary goal is to help clients effectively communicate their key business achievements and challenges to a broad stakeholder audience, thereby enhancing their corporate reputation.

Edelman views DEI as a business imperative, crucial for both clients and the agency itself. The emphasis is on not only articulating DEI efforts but ensuring they are visible and impactful. Overview of the Role: The Vice President of Multicultural will lead communications efforts for multiple clients, leveraging their experience in corporate communications or integrated marketing. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker capable of translating big ideas into actionable plans. Proficiency in media relations, excellent communication skills, and executive presence are essential. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Brand, Digital, Planning, and Creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice to clients based on external trends and business goals
  • Research and advise on messaging to Black, Latinx, AAPI, and other emerging majority audiences
  • Lead operational and financial performance of account teams
  • Demonstrate advanced writing skills and supervise others in writing tasks
  • Set and lead integrated traditional and social media relations programs
  • Utilize the Edelman global network for business growth
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach staff, overseeing their professional development
  • Lead or participate in new business development and client acquisitions

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of experience in agency and/or in-house communications roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Track record of leading profitable programs
  • Successful management of resources and budgets
  • Passion for advancing DEI efforts of global brands

Compensation: The salary range is $95,000 – $155,000 per year. Position within the range is determined by factors such as education, qualifications, experience, and business needs. Additional rewards may include bonuses, Paid Time Off, and region-specific benefits.
