If you possess a deep understanding of health care policy and extensive experience in executing public and government affairs strategies, we invite you to join our team. Responsibilities:

Health Policy Expertise and Public Affairs Strategy: Leverage in-depth knowledge of the U.S. health policy landscape to craft and execute comprehensive public affairs and strategic communication strategies. Align strategies with client objectives in the health care sector, including stakeholder engagement, grassroots initiatives, and direct lobbying.

Advocacy Campaigns: Work collaboratively with communications and digital colleagues to develop and execute advocacy strategies, advancing clients’ legislative and regulatory priorities.

Relationship Building: Proactively develop impactful relationships with key Congressional offices, federal regulatory agencies, industry coalitions, and stakeholders to enhance clients’ influence and reputation.

Policy Analysis: Stay informed about legislative and regulatory developments in health care, providing timely analysis to clients and internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.

Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic counsel on government affairs and strategic communications to ensure their objectives are met.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of government affairs and communications professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Contribute to team trainings and team-building activities.

Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with communications and digital colleagues to deliver integrated approaches to clients.

Business Development: Support new business by identifying opportunities and working with the leadership team to develop proposals. Contribute to ongoing CURA marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, communications, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 9+ years of public affairs experience, including legislative health policy experience.
  • Hill experience required.
  • Consulting firm experience (e.g., PR agency, government affairs firm) preferred.
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams and complex projects with a proactive, innovative, and positive attitude.
  • Enthusiasm for building and cultivating key policy and stakeholder relationships.
  • Familiarity with digital advocacy tools and social media engagement.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
