The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has an opening for a VP – Marketing Communications in the Indianapolis, IN office. This position leads, develops, and manages NAMIC’s marketing communication strategy and execution in collaboration with NAMIC senior leadership and staff.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Develops, plans, and provides strategic direction in collaboration with fellow senior leadership on integrated marketing initiatives that support the organizational strategy and objectives; may assist with the preparation of annual operating plans and develop long-range product plans for association.

  • Oversees the planning, coordination, and implementation of association (departments and affiliates) communications, marketing publications and collateral, and targeted campaigns including market research and improves marketing-related results by studying, evaluating and re-designing processes to meet business objectives.

    • Collaborates with internal customers and/or external partners on the design, production, and distribution of marketing and communications products.

    • Manages marketing and communications scheduling.

    • Develops brand guidelines to promote the association’s activities and increase the visibility of the association among target audiences through relevant channels.

    • Responsible for digital asset management and content management.

  • Oversees the planning, organizing, and directs NAMIC.org design, functionality, performance, and monitoring (and related media, platforms and channels).

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field with positions of increasing responsibility.

  • 5+ years team leadership and project management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field.

  • Expert knowledge of marketing, branding, and design concepts, as well as working knowledge of software and tools. (Adobe Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; HTML/CSS; Google Analytics, Microsoft Office).

  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background and MVR check.
