Public Affairs Council Announces Government Relations & Policy Conference
Washington, D.C. – The Public Affairs Council is pleased to announce the expansion of its signature event, the State & Local Government Relations Conference, to the Government Relations & Policy Conference.
The 2023 Government Relations & Policy Conference will take place September 20-22 at the Hilton Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Registration and additional information can be found at pac.org/grpc.
This expansion broadens the scope of the conference to include federal government relations in addition to state and local. “Our member companies and associations often find themselves navigating legislative challenges on multiple fronts,” says Doug Pinkham, president of the Public Affairs Council. “With increased interactions among local, state and federal government relations professionals, this expansion will help teams better coordinate their efforts.”
The new scope of the conference allows the Council to broaden the content offered. Sessions will cover emerging issues affecting the profession, strategic discussions for coordinating advocacy efforts across government relations teams, compliance regulations at the state, local and federal levels and more.
“We see this as an opportunity to better support the government relations community as a whole” notes Anna Platt, the Council’s senior manager of government relations. “We’re excited about the increased attendee network building and idea sharing created by this expansion.”
