A strong governance structure sets your program up for success, helps demonstrate transparency and builds trust in your political involvement efforts. We’ll start the afternoon by discussing best practices for managing a PAC board as well as what to include in bylaws, policies and procedures or other governance materials. In this session, we’ll explore:
- The purpose of PAC bylaws, including reviewing bylaws to ensure they provide both an effective governance structure and contribution criteria that will guide your PAC’s disbursement strategy

This session will review best practices and updated data exploring how organizations have evaluated their PAC contribution criteria and disbursement strategies in the last year. We’ll explore how corporate and association PACs can continuously evaluate their activities and communication strategies to promote inclusivity, greater transparency and organizational values. A panel of speakers will discuss strategies for updating contribution criteria, holding employee town halls and more to strengthen their governance function.
