### Position Summary
Deloitte is currently looking to hire a professional for its Policy and Government Relations (PGR) group. The role will be based in Washington, DC.

### Work You’ll Do
– Support federal government relations and public policy teams by working on a portfolio of legislative and regulatory initiatives and reporting on political and policy developments.
– Collaborate and support federal advocacy related to Deloitte’s policy priorities.
– Conduct research, support analysis, and contribute to team projects, deliverables, and presentations on a diverse range of legislative and policy topics.
– Provide project management support to the Federal PGR team, including contributing to project trackers, presentations, and progress reports.
– Support the creation of written briefing materials and PowerPoint slide decks.
– Monitor legislation and regulations for the PGR team.
– Cover hearings, markups, and industry association meetings; summarize key takeaways and implications for the firm.
– Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

### The Team
**PGR’s core functions:**
– Promote and protect the Firm’s business interests by engaging policymakers and other policy influencers.
– Collaborate with stakeholders across the Firm to drive the development of public policy positions and support client engagements.
– Identify and conduct analyses on trending legislative, regulatory, and public policy issues that may impact the Firm and its clients.
– Build and maintain relationships with members of Congress, state lawmakers, administration officials, and key policy influencers (e.g., think tanks, industry associations).

### Required Qualifications:
– At least 3 years of professional experience in the legislative, policy, or related fields.
– Previous experience with the legislative, regulatory, and policymaking processes.
– Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
– Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

### Preferred Qualifications:
– Previous experience working in Congress, regulatory agencies, trade associations, government affairs organizations, policy research organizations, or public policy organizations.
– Previous experience in a role with extensive writing, research, and legislative analysis responsibilities.

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $109,200 to $181,900.
