The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), one of the nation’s largest and most dynamic nonprofit organizations, is currently searching for a Manager, Global Programs to provide support for the operational and governing needs of our global volunteer leaders and members.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide operational and governance guidance and support to volunteer leaders and members outside of North America.
  • Respond to queries sent to Global Programs and collaborate with other ASCE stakeholders.
  • Coordinate content for website pages and manage updates.
  • Monitor effective use of social media platforms.
  • Create and coordinate communications in cooperation with member volunteers.
  • Create virtual meeting invites and host events for volunteer leaders.
  • Coordinate and analyze annual report submissions.
  • Issue letters of invitation for visa purposes to registrants of ASCE in-person events.
  • Maintain applicable databases.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience working with people from diverse cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (foreign language fluency a plus).
  • Thorough proficiency with the full MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in web-based programs.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments.

Position Details

This full-time position has hybrid work-from-home flexibility in the Northern VA/MD/DC Metro area.
