In This Role, You Will

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with and advocate before Members of Congress and their staffs with responsibility for representing Verizon before Republican members of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.
  • Coordinate Republican outreach to advance Verizon’s priority issues.
  • Execute strategies for advancing complex policy frameworks that address broadband, spectrum, privacy, taxation, and other critical business issues that create a platform for long-term growth for Verizon, our employees, and our shareholders.
  • Serve as a strategist for Republican political outreach, including coordinating PAC giving to Republican candidates.
  • Represent Verizon in national political forums, in business coalitions, community partnerships, and other internal forums.

What We’re Looking For…

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ years of experience working on Capitol Hill and/or lobbying experience in the telecom and technology industry or relevant trade association.
  • Established network of professional relationships with specific line of sight into Congressional politics in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

  • Advanced degree.

Where You’ll Be Working

In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum of eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

Compensation

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $195,000.00 and $363,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
