Job Overview

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and executing work that supports and optimizes internal and external communications, driving Intrepid’s brand identity, creative voice, and experience across multiple channels. This role is a partner in leveling up content, messaging, frequency, and targeting audiences internally and externally.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop content and messaging to drive engagement across communications channels including media relations, contributed content, digital media (social media, videos, and web copy), and internal communication.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting across social media channels, coordinating with internal teams to align with overall marketing objectives and initiatives.
  • Coordinate the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social, print, events, conferences, etc.).
  • Measure and improve marketing content, reach, and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Coordinate promotional events, conference presence, and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Communicate comfortably with peers, partners, leaders, and industry contacts.
  • Maintain and grow our social media presence (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) by crafting compelling content and engaging with our audience.
  • Coordinate surveys and work with internal teams on fielding; analyze findings to generate actionable insights and integrate them into content pieces.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of content initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Stay abreast of new trends in digital and social media and emerging technologies; incorporate them into communications strategies and plans.
  • Ensure that the Intrepid website (both internal and external) is current.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or Marketing.
  • At least 1 year of experience in PR/Communications roles.
  • Highly organized self-starter capable of working independently across multiple workstreams.
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation and next-generation technology.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Experience with social media marketing (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, energetic personality paired with the drive to deliver quantifiable results.
  • Demonstrated storytelling ability across a variety of communications channels, with a focus on socializing company messaging.
  • Collaborative contributor, able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver innovative ideas and solutions to all levels of personnel.
  • Experience with desktop publishing is a plus.
  • Experience developing and implementing communication/marketing plans.
  • Comfort with public speaking, moderation, and active engagement at events.
  • Recruitment marketing experience is a plus.
