We specialize in high-profile political advocacy campaigns—including Republican Voters Against Trump, Home of the Brave, and The Bulwark—and we’re looking for a versatile, sharp Writer/Researcher to join our team.

In this role, you’ll work alongside many of the movers and shakers in Washington and help define the key conversations shaping America today. And if you’re not satisfied doing the same thing every day—that’s good, because we promise that’s not how we work around here!

If you’re passionate about politics, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to produce content that influences national conversations, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role

As a Writer/Researcher, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the narratives that define our work. From crafting compelling written pieces to digging deep into political research, you’ll help develop messaging that moves the needle in public debates. You’ll collaborate closely with our political communications team to ensure our materials are insightful, factual, and impactful.

Your Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality written content, including op-eds, talking points, press materials, digital content, factsheets, client memos, and more
  • Conduct in-depth political research on politicians, political parties, outside groups, campaign finance, government records, legal records, and legislative processes
  • Craft persuasive arguments that translate complex public policy issues into accessible, engaging narratives for diverse audiences
  • Monitor news cycles, identify rapid-response opportunities, and develop timely research memos for the political communications team
  • Analyze emerging issues and identify ways to advance client messaging
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment in all written materials
  • Manage deadlines across multiple projects and edit content for clarity, style, and audience adaptation

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for political news and public affairs
  • Strong research instincts and the ability to distill complex information into clear, persuasive prose
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative spirit and comfort working as part of a dynamic team
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in political writing, research, journalism, communications, or related fields is a plus

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • 100% covered medical insurance
  • Metro-accessible, downtown DC location
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment with smart, dedicated colleagues
  • The chance to have a real impact on politics and public policy conversations
  • Significant growth potential and opportunities for advancement

Base salary range: $55k–$70k

This position is full-time and in-office (no remote, hybrid, or part-time options).
