Alexandria national health care association located near King Street Metro seeks a Communications Manager. This position will report to the SVP of Public Affairs and be responsible for supporting all communications functions, including social media monitoring, morning news clips, basic copy writing and copy editing, research, and coordinating projects between offices within the department, and between the department and other departments within the organization.

Requirements include strong writing and editing skills, strong social media experience, strong research skills, strong organization skills, and ability to take direction.

The association seeks a candidate with a minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant field (communications, marketing, social media, journalism). Must be a team player and have a strong work ethic. Must be willing and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, travel occasionally, and learn new things. This is an entry level position with room for growth and promotion.

Winter hybrid work schedule; in office T/W/Th, remote M/F. Summer hybrid work schedule; in office T/Th, remote M/W/F. Ideal candidate would live in the Washington metropolitan area. Excellent benefits; salary commensurate with experience.
