Public Affairs Council Adds New Staff to Advance Member Impact and Strategic Priorities
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Public Affairs Council today announced the recent appointment of three new team members, strengthening the organization’s capacity to deliver high-impact programs and services for the public affairs community.
Monica Day joins the Council as senior manager, political affairs practice, where she will ensure members have access to timely political intelligence and campaign finance insights and support them across the full spectrum of political affairs, including compliance, PAC management and fundraising. She will manage programs and member services related to the Council’s political affairs practice, including the National PAC Conference. Monica most recently served as political affairs and grassroots specialist at the American Hospital Association.
Deanna Wisniewski joins the Council as senior manager of communications, where she will advance the Council’s integrated communications strategy, enhance member engagement across digital and social channels and bolster media relations and executive communications. Deanna most recently served as senior manager of public affairs and communications at the American Waterways Operators and previously worked at the American Bar Association as a legislative associate and editor.
Sam Kasner joins the Council as manager of events, where she will lead the coordination and delivery of the Council’s more than 70 annual events and programs, including signature events, workshops, webinars and member programs, ensuring high-quality experiences that connect and support members across the profession. Sam most recently served as events and development manager at the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership and previously worked at the World Wildlife Fund as an events coordinator.
