## Position Summary
The Manager of Government Affairs will advance the organization’s legislative and political objectives through strategic grassroots and grasstops advocacy, relationship development, and management of the organization’s political action committee (PAC). This role combines stakeholder engagement, event planning, fundraising strategy, and compliance to strengthen the organization’s influence in the policy arena.

## Key Responsibilities
– Design and implement a comprehensive grasstops advocacy strategy to mobilize TIA membership for direct engagement with policymakers.
– Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of PAC fundraising campaigns and events, including donor education, solicitations, and special programming for contributors.
– Oversee all aspects of PAC operations, including budget management, contribution solicitations, donor engagement, disbursement tracking, and compliance with federal and state laws.
– Collaborate with internal teams to develop PAC communications, promotional materials, and event content that align with organizational and political objectives.
– Analyze fundraising performance and provide insights to optimize TIA member engagement.
– Monitor legislative, regulatory, and political developments that affect the organization’s advocacy and political engagement efforts.

– Bachelor’s degree in political science, public affairs, communications, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in political fundraising or advocacy, ideally within a corporate, association, or campaign setting.
– Demonstrated experience in PAC fundraising, event planning, execution, and donor cultivation.
– Strong understanding of FEC and LDA reporting and compliance requirements.
– Proven ability to develop and execute stakeholder engagement and grasstops strategies.
– Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.

## Preferred Skills
– Familiarity with digital advocacy and PAC management platforms
– Established political or advocacy network
– Experience measuring and reporting on fundraising, event, and campaign success metrics
