As a Director, Communications Planning, you will support the team in increasing customer acquisition and retention, generate engagement through multi-channel marketing campaigns, and foster recognition of loyalty benefits.

On the Global Marketing team reporting to the Senior Director, Content Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in fueling Hilton’s growth by maximizing marketing’s contribution to enterprise performance. ## What You’ll Do During a Typical Day

– Own and improve the strategic implementation of campaigns, initiatives, and always-on programs across the ecosystem through communication planning across the year
– Develop deep consumer understanding to shape upstream how, where, and when our ideas can be applied to the greatest effect
– Understand the possibilities inherent in different channels, media, and platforms—and have the skill to exploit these
– Develop customer journeys and ecosystem mapping across all key campaigns and initiatives
– Work closely with key stakeholders of other disciplines, and train and upskill the team in comms planning
– Collaborate with Hilton’s creative team and agency partners to show how they can amplify their ideas in different channels and platforms—so that ideas live longer in the mind than the media plan
– Foster strong relationships across creative and media teams, acting as another crucial bridge

## How You’ll Collaborate with Others

– Work closely with Global Media, Creative, Brand Strategy, Loyalty, CRM, and PR teams
– Translate strategy into communication frameworks
– Partner cross-functionally within a highly matrixed organization
– Ensure campaigns and initiatives align with consumer needs and enterprise business outcomes

## Projects You’ll Take Ownership Of

– Develop comprehensive communications plans and message frameworks for key campaigns and initiatives
– Develop the overarching go-to-market calendar that spans all campaigns, initiatives, and always-on programs
– Create communications planning tools, templates, and frameworks for teams and partners
– Lead and develop a communications planning team

## What It Takes to Make the Stay

### Minimum Qualifications

– Ten (10) years of professional experience
– Eight (8) years of campaign communications planning
– Five (5) years of experience in cross-channel marketing, content marketing, or related roles
– Three (3) years of experience managing teams and partnering cross-functionally
– Experience leveraging and understanding modern, customer-centric marketing, including media, creative, content, and campaign strategy

### Useful Qualifications

– Experience in an agency environment leading communications planning for large, globally relevant brands
– Experience in hospitality, travel, consumer services, or related industries within large, global consumer brands
– Deep understanding of customer journeys and different channels, media, and platforms
– Proven experience developing talent and building teams
