Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform statutory and regulatory research and complex administrative support functions.
  • Research the history of current rulemaking cases and the origin of procurement regulations.
  • Research the impact of current and prospective information collection requirements on the public in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. Track requirements and manage data in government information systems.
  • Prepare and proofread formal staffed packages.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, take meeting notes, record taskers and actions, and update the staff when necessary.
  • Prepare briefings as appropriate.
  • Manage multiple assignments from multiple people in a busy work environment.

Qualifications

  • This position requires an active Secret security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 10 years of work experience, preferably with or supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or another federal agency.
  • Strong research skills with knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) (Title 48, Code of Federal Regulations, Chapters 1 and 2).
  • Experience as a Contracting Officer or Contracts Specialist is highly desired.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using SharePoint is preferred.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple assignments effectively.

Target Salary Range

$90,620 – $135,754
