Regulatory Advocacy Bootcamp

Virtual Workshop

Regulatory Advocacy Bootcamp

April 9, 2026
1:30 p.m.− 3:45 p.m. ET

Rulemaking is an essential part of the lawmaking process, but it’s often overlooked as a key advocacy tool at the state and federal levels.  What similarities, and differences, exist between state and federal regulatory advocacy?  How should you tailor your regulatory strategy?  What, if anything, is different post-Chevron doctrine? Our experts will present the latest approaches to navigating and influencing the complex landscapes.

In this program, you’ll gain insight into:

    • The current state and federal rulemaking landscapes, including what the end of the Chevron doctrine means in those spaces
    • Creating regulatory advocacy plans that work with real-world case studies as examples
    • How to coordinate regulatory advocacy with other state and federal government relations efforts
    • How regulations can be used to achieve government relations wins (and how they can also hinder those wins)

The Regulatory Landscape and Making Your Plan

Federal and state regulatory environments continue to evolve, requiring government relations professionals to adapt quickly and strategically. In this session we will:

  • Evaluate the current regulatory climate and emerging rulemaking trends
  • Compare regulatory frameworks and rulemaking at the local, state and federal levels
  • Assess the implications of the Loper Bright decision and its recent impacts
