This is a key position on our Washington, DC Government and External Affairs team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant public policy related experience and an interest in financial services policy.
What you do:
Conduct policy research related to regulatory and legislative developments affecting the financial services industry, including in the areas of retirement security, capital markets, tax, trade, cybersecurity, and more
Draft weekly reports to be sent out to over 2,500 internal and external stakeholders
Attend meetings and events held by trade associations and affiliated organizations
Prepare memos briefing senior executives on Congressional hearings relevant to the interests of the company
Organize and manage the fly-ins of company distributors and executives to connect them with relevant policymakers
Edit speeches written by company executives
Help manage the day-to-day operations of the Allianz of America office
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience required OR Master’s degree
Excellent writing skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Interest in financial services preferred, but not required
