Engages in Political Dialogues

Engages in political dialogues throughout the world to grow, cultivate and enhance the Company’s relationships with government while providing information about the company’s strategy, advocating for political positions and identifying solutions to government and national security challenges.

  • Develops and maintains policies and programs to ensure organizational awareness of government legislation and/or regulatory issues that affect the organization and respond to same.
  • Ensures that the organization’s interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of market rules and procedures.
  • Prepares and organizes forums and gatherings with government officials to exchange ideas and information on business activities and potential legislation that may affect the organization.
  • Acts as a resource on regulatory matters with regard to product changes.
  • Educates government stakeholders on the semiconductor industry and the company, to improve future relationships and raise brand awareness.
  • Performs all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
  • Works and collaborates other projects and/or assignments as needed.

Introduction

In this role you will engage in political dialogues throughout the world to grow, cultivate and enhance the Company’s relationships with government while providing information about the company’s strategy, advocating for political positions and identifying solutions to government and national security challenges.

Your Role

  • Develop and maintain policies and programs to ensure organizational awareness of government legislation and/or regulatory issues that affect the organization and respond to same.
  • Ensure that the organization’s interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of market rules and procedures.
  • Prepare and organize forums and gatherings with government officials to exchange ideas and information on business activities and potential legislation that may affect the organization.
  • Act as a resource on regulatory matters with regard to product changes.
  • Educates government stakeholders on the semiconductor industry and the company, to improve future relationships and raise brand awareness.
  • Work and collaborates other projects and/or assignments as needed.

Accountability

Provide leadership, direction and strategy development and makes final administrative or operational decisions within level of authority or, as applicable, recommends course of action on matters affecting the organization managed.

Plans, directs and is accountable for all activities and results of a single function (or multiple smaller functions). *Function(s) represent a large segment of a division, country, strategic global account, major regional account, or global corporate function.

Establish organizational procedures and plans, consistent with corporate policy.

Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to corporate policy.

Relationship Orientation

  • Responsible for developing and driving implementation of plans in support of strategic direction.
  • Ensures that overall budget and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
  • Recommends organization structure for area managed and develops performance standards for area managed.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for their areas managed.
  • Interacts regularly with executives and equivalent level managers across functions and regions concerning matters of significance to the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, or policy focused.
  • Multidisciplinary grasp of public affairs, including government affairs, policy, advocacy, PR, and issues management, and their associated synergies.
  • Strong experience and understanding of Semiconductor ecosystem preferred.
  • Ability to work in a complex, global, and highly matrixed organization, with capability to collaborate, communicate about, and manage portfolio.
  • Strong, skilled, effective strategic thinker and communicator with proven track record of distilling complex ideas into clear, effective and actionable campaigns and content.
  • Proven ability to build consensus around tough decisions in a highly collaborative and interdependent organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, flexible mindset.
