We are seeking a creative and compassionate person to serve as our Director of Communications. Strong graphic design and HTML skills are required. For the right person, this is an opportunity to use your professional talents to make a difference and help animals.

We are a high‑impact non‑profit organization that focuses on passing laws to help greyhounds and promoting the adoption of ex‑racers. Our office is casual, friendly, sometimes fast‑paced, and always cruelty‑free, with several resident dogs. Every day will bring new projects.

The best candidates will have extensive experience with online communications, social media, and fundraising — and photography skills are a must. You must be creative, have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as a commitment to helping animals.

Specific Job Responsibilities
Creating website content

Designing print materials

Developing original graphics consistent with our branding

Managing social media campaigns, including fundraising efforts

Creating engaging social media posts

Organizing online auctions

Maintaining web domain and hosting accounts

Administering email accounts

Designing and managing email newsletter campaigns

Creating online petitions

Strategizing for new fundraising and educational programs

Designing charts and other materials for presentations

Developing and executing online advertising campaigns

Maintaining an online shop

Creating campaign videos

Required Skills
Candidates must be proficient in:
HTML/CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere, Acrobat and InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

Knowledge of PayPal, MySQL database management, Bootstrap, and Movie Maker are a plus.

Additional Information
We are conveniently located on the public transit system in Arlington, Massachusetts.

Hours: Full‑time
Salary: $55K to $65K start with benefits.
