The American College of Radiology (ACR) seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Government Affairs Specialist to join the Government Relations department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Political Affairs, the Government Affairs Specialist will handle day to day management of the Political Actions Committee (PAC) reporting as well as take the lead on member solicitations and developing a RADPAC Champions Program. This position will work directly on devising a strategy to streamline the PAC’s communications process as well as increase the PAC’s visibility on social media platforms. Additionally, this position will also be involved in planning the RADPAC Board Retreat, the RADPAC Gala and other social events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with ACR accounting department to manage all incoming contributions
  • File all FEC reports
  • Monitor and track MaDPAC fundraising events
  • Track all contributions that come in from practices and maintain communications with business managers
  • Manage the Radvocacy quarterly e-newsletter
  • Take lead role in planning the annual RADPAC Gala and coordinating activities at the RADPAC Booth during the Annual Meeting
  • Create a nationwide RADPAC Champions Program
  • Provide resources and reports to state chapters for upcoming chapter meetings
  • Manage all content and design for RADPAC’s website
  • Design, manage and send out solicitation campaigns
  • Manage RADPAC’s operating budget

 

Qualified candidates must have:

  • 3-5 years in government relations, public relations or closely related field
  • Bachelor degree
  • Experience in political affairs environment
  • Experience in fundraising, preferably political fundraising
  • Thorough understanding of the legislative process
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Experience with Aristotle or equivalent fundraising software preferred

This position will work on a Hybrid schedule, coming into the DC office as needed.  When working remotely, you must be self-motivated, possess excellent time management, and be highly organized in an environment where shifting priorities are the norm.  Reliable internet connection is a must!

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy that includes base salary in addition to our full suite of comprehensive benefits (https://www.acr.org/-/media/ACR/NOINDEX/HR/ACR-Benefits-Overview.pdf).  ACR’s goal is to pay competitively and equitably.  It is typical for individuals to be hired in the entry to middle of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on each case’s circumstances.  A reasonable estimate of the compensation range is $67,550 – $90,050.
