### Job Description

Elevate Government Affairs is looking for a dedicated, ambitious, and detail-oriented Government Relations Associate with one to two years of experience with a Congressional Committee or Member of Congress to support the executives at the firm to service our clients across a variety of policy arenas.

We are looking for an energetic individual who is highly motivated to join our tight-knit, bipartisan and bicameral team and help us continue delivering for our clients and grow our firm to serve new ones. We are looking for someone with experience working in a fast-paced environment and who has a strong ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects at once.

### About Elevate Government Affairs

Elevate Government Affairs was founded by three seasoned government relations professionals to provide tailored strategies for clients to succeed in an ever-evolving government affairs environment where it is increasingly harder to be heard.

### Responsibilities

The Associate will be an integrated member of our team and support crafting client deliverables, assisting with the firm’s business development pursuits, and conducting policy research. Specifically, responsibilities will include:

– Manage client deliverables including but not limited to:
– Legislative research memoranda
– Policy/committee action overviews and updates
– Major legislation tracking
– Ensuring that client deliverables and firm products, including congressional hearing schedules, congressional hearing coverage, call notes, and more, are ready for client delivery.

### Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have one to two years of legislative experience working for a Congressional Committee or Member of Congress, or a similar consulting firm. Additional qualifications include:

– Experience with and understanding of the legislative process
– Strong analytical and organizational skills
– Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to work under pressure to drive solutions
– Experience drafting legislative research documents
– Knowledge of the Legislative and Executive Branches, including structure and composition
– Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
