Policy Advisor – Lobbying & Public Policy Practice

Seeking a Policy Advisor with more than five years of experience to join our Lobbying & Public Policy practice. Experience with policy issues and legislation related to energy is required. Experience working on Capitol Hill is preferred, ideally on the congressional committees of jurisdiction for energy policy. Experience working for an executive branch agency of jurisdiction also is preferred and may substitute for Capitol Hill experience. A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree (JD or Master’s) is preferred. Stellar academic credentials and advanced written and verbal communication skills are required.

Our renowned Lobbying & Public Policy practice integrates a top lobbying practice within a full-service law firm. Our bipartisan team represents clients before the federal government on legislative, policy, and regulatory matters, including a wide range of issues related to energy policy. We advise clients across the energy sector—including traditional and renewable energy companies, utilities, and investors—on matters involving congressional legislation, regulatory developments, and federal funding opportunities. Drawing on deep experience in the legislative and executive branches, we engage with key decision-makers at agencies such as the Department of Energy, FERC, and EPA, as well as with congressional committees of jurisdiction. We help clients shape policy outcomes, navigate regulatory processes, and understand the broader political and policy context affecting the energy landscape.
