Summary

The Project Coordinator, Government Relations is responsible for ensuring that all administrative and logistical duties for the department and other advocacy functions are executed properly and in a timely manner. This position supports the Government Relations, External Affairs, NABPAC, and State, International, and Board Relations team members in their duties to accomplish the advocacy goals of the department.

Essential Functions

  • Assist lobbyists with legislative projects and research. Monitor the Congressional schedule and cover hearings as required.
  • Track key legislation and cosponsors. Prepare memoranda on various legislative issues and activities. Manage Government Relations federal and state legislative database in Quorum.
  • Assist with Government Relations, External Affairs, NABPAC, and State, International, and Board Relations team requirements at the State Leadership Conference, NAB Show, Capitol Hill staff briefings, fly-ins, and other special events.
  • Assist with witness prep logistics for NAB witnesses testifying on Capitol Hill.
  • Maintain congressional mailing lists for the House and Senate. Handle logistical arrangements for Hill briefings and meetings.
  • Coordinate and send all widely distributed emails and invitations to Capitol Hill from NAB.
  • Support planning and organizing Congressional Hill Staff travel to the NAB Show in Las Vegas, including drafting and sending invitations, booking travel and logistics. Ensure that all conference programming caters to ethics guidelines.
  • Provide administrative assistance and staff support to Government Relations, External Affairs, NABPAC, and State, International, and Board Relations team members, including processing expense reports and invoices, coordinating travel and logistics, and other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Four-year degree and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Administrative support experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Preferred experience or strong interest in administrative and political event operations.
  • Preferred experience in Excel and database management.

Work Location and Schedule

This position is eligible for NAB’s Hybrid Work Schedule of three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) in the D.C. office each week.
