Public Affairs Specialist
Manage an organization’s day-to-day advertising, marketing, media relations, creative editorial, and design services. Advise top management on the development of communications policies and advertising program. Advise and manage public relations issues. Mentor junior staff. This position requires the ability to conduct national and international travel 10% of the time.
-10 years of experience with DoD public affairs, including providing public affairs advice to senior leaders on operational issues and conducting media operations or communication planning or implementation
-Experience with using a wide spectrum of social media tools and tactics
-Ability to travel nationally and internationally 10% of the time
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-HS diploma or GED
-Experience with media defense
-Experience with public affairs at a Combatant Command preferred
-Ability to communicate with senior leadership effectively
-Ability to help identify issues proactively at the Combatant Command level
