What will you be doing?
You will leverage both the breadth and depth of experience at a law firm and as in-house counsel and help Circana maintain an innovative legal organization tasked with tackling the complex legal challenges that confront our business.
This is a highly visible role in a fast-paced, professional, and collaborative organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting regularly with our global leaders across the company to achieve results and advance Circana’s strategic priorities. Job Responsibilities
Leadership and Management

Champion the Legal team’s expertise and build key partnerships across Circana.
Take ownership and accountability for key projects and decisions and see them through — ensuring the appropriate stakeholders are engaged and providing follow-through and iteration.
Be a proactive leader who keeps the HR Leadership team and key stakeholders engaged and updated to ensure continuous compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Functional Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day counseling on all labor and employment legal issues during the lifecycle of employment, from recruitment to performance management to termination, for all functions on a global basis.
Support the development of a strategy to enhance compliance and proactively mitigate employment-related risks.
Collaborate with various HR clients to support the development and maintenance of employment contracts, policies, templates, and processes to minimize employment-related risks.
Work closely with other members of the legal department on cross-functional initiatives, including support for M&A.
Deliver legal updates and trainings to HR and business managers to educate and manage risks across the organization.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local labor & employment laws, regulations, and policies.
Stay updated on global laws and advise on their impact to the business, providing recommendations on maintaining compliance.
Independently handle legal matters and projects ranging from basic to sophisticated.
Manage outside labor and employment counsel.
Assist with complex HR and compliance investigations, as needed.
Requirements
8+ years of total legal experience in labor and employment at a top-tier law firm and large in-house legal department.
Experience handling labor and employment matters before federal, state courts, and administrative agencies.
Experience counseling clients on labor and employment matters.
Experience advising multi-nationals on international employment/HR matters, including EWC and national works council engagement.
Proven track record of providing thoughtful, legal, and strategic guidance to senior leaders.
Experience forging relationships and advising leaders and key stakeholders across global companies.
Proven attention to detail with organizational skills.
Comfortable with hands-on execution in detail as well as developing big-picture strategies.
Strong communication skills.
Direct, action-oriented approaches to solving problems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
Team-oriented mentality, humility, and a healthy sense of humor.
Experience within the technology industry is desirable.
JD (or non-US equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar.

The below range reflects the possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
Salary Range: $140,000 to $180,000
Bonus: This job is eligible for 15% bonus pay.
