Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Corporate and Donor Relations will cultivate and grow relationships with corporate partners and donors, resulting in mutual benefit and advancement of the NEA mission. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in both corporate sponsorship and fundraising, alongside proven relationship-building capabilities with diverse internal and external audiences. Excellent communication abilities, strong problem-solving acumen, and service-oriented creative thinking are essential.

This role requires a professional who can collaborate effectively across teams and demonstrate responsiveness to all stakeholders in a rapidly evolving environment. The Senior Manager, Corporate and Donor Relations is an integral part of NEA’s strategic growth, providing critical insights and direction to support stakeholder relationships and organizational vitality.

This full-time (40 hours per week) remote-based position is FLSA exempt.
5% travel is required to various national industry and medical/scientific meetings.

Primary Responsibilities

Corporate Relations and Benefit Fulfillment

Lead corporate sponsorship benefit fulfillment and foster long-term engagement with corporate partners through efficient and effective communication.

Create corporate presentations, design custom proposals, and brainstorm creative new assets and opportunities.

Develop documents for corporate sponsorships, including letters of request, agendas, budgets, and program summaries.

Maintain and manage an up-to-date database of prospective sponsors across key categories and industries, including tracking outreach, engagement activity, and relationship status.

Analyze program results/metrics and create custom sponsor impact reports.

Manage Corporate Council and Corporate Engagement Pathway: meeting logistics, Ambassador communication, and material development.

Facilitate Ambassador engagements from industry/corporate representatives.

Attend corporate meetings and assist with preparation and follow-up.

Manage all corporate requests and related communication from online inquiries.

Program Management

Direct the strategy, planning, and implementation of events designed to meet or exceed annual revenue and engagement goals for the corporate engagement and development team.

In conjunction with the Marketing and Communications team, develop and drive multi-channel promotional efforts—across digital, print, email, social media, and web—to maximize visibility and attendance.

Manage corporate engagement and development-related event logistics including venue sourcing, budgeting, vendor negotiation, ticketing, and volunteer coordination.

Develop and maintain detailed project timelines to ensure all deliverables are met on schedule, while keeping leadership and key stakeholders informed throughout the process.

Individual & Corporate Giving

In collaboration with the Vice President, Corporate Engagement and Development, lead the planning and execution of development and fundraising strategies.

Based on the organizational goals, develop a strategy for development initiatives that focus on internal audiences including staff, board of directors, and other volunteer leaders/groups.

In conjunction with the Vice President, Corporate Engagement and Development, and based on NEA’s strategic priorities, develop proposals to target corporate foundations for funding opportunities.

Manage all facets of annual giving campaigns, including working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team to develop development marketing and communication strategies.

Operations & Data Management

Oversee department billing and invoicing related to role activities.

Maintain donor and partner records in Salesforce CRM with accuracy and completeness.

Track key performance metrics for fundraising campaigns and donor engagements.

Ensure Corporate and Development budget is up to date for accurate revenue and expense tracking.

Work cross-functionally across the CARE team, Marketing/Communications, and Operations to ensure partnership success, accurate financial inputs/reporting, and contribution to NEA’s Strategic Plan.

Stay up to date on industry trends and represent NEA at national meetings and conferences, as needed.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in corporate relations and individual giving in the non-profit sector.

Technical Skills

CFRE preferred

3+ years’ fundraising experience in individual giving and corporate giving programs

2+ years’ experience in peer-to-peer fundraising programs

2+ years’ Salesforce experience preferred

Strong understanding of corporate proposals and associated deliverables

Ability to conduct preliminary review of partnership proposals, sponsorship agreements, and contracts

Key Competencies

Proven experience in individual giving, donor stewardship, partnership development, and stakeholder management

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent NEA to a variety of audiences

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Ability to travel
