Johnson & Johnson is currently looking for a Senior Manager, Communications, for the Global Services Human Resources organization, part of the enterprise Global Services function, to lead strategy and execution of workforce and internal customer communications. The position is based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
Position Summary
Are you ready to make an impact? We need you to lead a communication strategy for engaging the hearts and minds of the more than 1,400 employees in the Global Services Human Resources (GS HR) organization responsible for designing, developing, and delivering human-resources processes and services to our 131,000 Johnson & Johnson colleagues worldwide. You will also guide the creation of engaging, customer-centric communications for these HR services that enable the business and further strengthen the Company’s reputation as an employer of choice.
This is an existing role with flexibility to shape and mold the future of HR service-delivery communications for the Company’s growing and expanding global business services division.
In this role, you will partner with the Global Head of People Experience and Human Resources Services, the Enterprise Communications team, the Human Resources Communications team, and Business Unit HR to coordinate and communicate messages about human resources initiatives and services to employees and internal partners. Additionally, as a member of the Global Services Communication team, you’ll help craft and deliver crucial communications that engage the hearts and minds of all GS HR employees and BPO partners, liaising with the Global Corporate Affairs function to align with enterprise initiatives and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Communication Business Partner: Collaborate with the Global Head of People Experience and HR Services to translate the organization’s vision, mission, and business goals into clear and compelling communications that inform, align, and engage the GS HR employee and BPO workforce. (40%)
- Update and Implement a Service-Delivery Communication Strategy: Work in partnership with Global Services Communications, Enterprise Communications, and Human Resources Communications to delight end users, engage employees, and strengthen Johnson & Johnson’s reputation as an employer of choice. (20%)
- Co-Lead the GS HR Engagement Squad: Provide strategic communication direction to guide global employee engagement initiatives and events. (15%)
- Coordinate and Align Messages: Ensure consistent messaging across various initiatives, advising HR partners, and creating materials for senior-level leaders. (20%)
- Develop Overall Communication Strategy: Partner with change leaders, HR business partners, and the Program Management Office (PMO) to support GS and HR initiatives. Collaborate on employee communication content strategies and change management interventions. (5%)
- Foster a Unified Team Culture: Support efforts to encourage a “one team” culture across global communicators to deliver world-class employee communication and engagement capabilities.
Qualifications
Required
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, or a related field.
- Extraordinary communication skills, leveraging written, visual, and verbal methods and technologies.
- At least 8 years of proven experience in communication and employee engagement.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, is flexible, collaborative, and deadline-driven.
- Polished presentation, writing, and organizational skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills across internal, external, and global team members.
- Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives and staff.
- Direct experience working with intranets, blogs, and podcasting.
- Proven ability to develop programs from concept to completion.
- Experience managing agencies, consultants, and budgets.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred
- Prior experience in shared services or global business services organizations.
- Previous experience in customer communications, technology communications, or marketing.
Salary
The base pay range for this position is $118,000 – $203,550 USD.
Bonus
Johnson & Johnson maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus under current guidelines, which rewards individual and corporate performance over a calendar year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion.
