Government Relations Manager/Senior Manager – Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment (USA)

Join Our Team: Government Relations Manager Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced US Government Relations (GR) and Public-Private Partnership Manager to join our expanding ASM team in Arizona and our global GR team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and fostering strong relationships with government agencies, industry groups, and private sector partners at federal and state level to support growth of our operations in the US.


Responsibilities:

Government Relations:

  • Develop and drive execution of ASM’s GR strategy in USA.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with relevant governmental agencies at both federal and state levels to educate policy makers on broad range of issues and promote the growth of ASM.

Policy Analysis:

  • Review, analyze and track legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the semiconductor equipment industry in general and ASM specifically.
  • Provide timely insights and recommendations to senior management to ensure proactive responses to changes in the policies and business environment.

Advocacy:

  • Design and implement advocacy strategies for achieving policy goals with relevant federal and state legislative, administrative, regulatory, and other governmental entities.
  • Represent ASM’s interest to members of Congress, industry associations, and other public meetings or forums to articulate the company’s interests and concerns and advocate for favorable policies, incentives, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bs/Ms in Business, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field with experience in technology, preferably semiconductors. Or vice versa a degree in a relevant technical field with experience or supplemental education in Public Policy. Advanced degrees preferred.
  • 10 years experience in government relations, public affairs, or public-private partnerships in the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders; preferably strong network of contacts within government circles, industry associations, and research institutions in US.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders in a global organization.
  • Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of policy development and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to ambiguous and complex business landscapes. A team player effective in a multi-stakeholder, multi-cultural international environment.

Preferred:

  • 10 years strong network of contacts within government circles, industry associations, and research institutions in US.
