We are looking for a Public Policy Analyst to join our Government Affairs team, supporting our state and federal public policy advocacy initiatives and contributing to our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with our field-based government affairs team to analyze and interpret state and federal legislative developments with a particular focus on issues related to packaging circularity, supply chain resiliency, decarbonization, health & wellbeing, and ingredient management.
  • Track relevant policy issues, conduct research, and provide insights to guide advocacy strategies.
  • Prepare reports on the potential impact of enacted legislation and help manage the transition from advocacy to implementation and compliance.
  • Develop advocacy collateral, including briefing documents, fact sheets, and presentations.
  • Represent the company in relevant forums, including in trade associations and coalitions, to promote understanding of our policy positions.
  • Work across Corporate Affairs department, engaging with communications, sustainability, and corporate responsibility teams to help ensure alignment and amplification of initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategies that align public policy advocacy efforts with broader communications and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of Government Affairs experience.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues into clear messages.
  • Proven success demonstrating sound judgment and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 25% of time is preferred.
