Public Affairs Council Hires Milka Amanios to Lead Social Impact Practice
Washington, D.C. (July 11, 2024) –The Public Affairs Council has hired Milka Amanios as its new social impact practice manager.
In this role, Amanios will manage all programs and member services related to the Council’s Social Impact Practice, which encompasses social responsibility, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion. Her focus includes planning and implementing the annual STRIDE: A Social Impact Summit, developing workshops and trainings, and managing the Foundation for Public Affairs Hogans Fellowship, a program designed to strengthen the public affairs executive pipeline.
Amanios comes to the Council with a strong background in corporate responsibility. Previously, she worked at Visa on their North America Inclusive Impact and Sustainability team, where she led financial education programs such as Visa’s inaugural financial education advocacy coalition, established relationships with local and national partners, coordinated high-profile events and managed the charitable contribution process.
“Milka brings valuable expertise to a growing field for public affairs professionals,” said Public Affairs Council President Doug Pinkham. “Her background managing a corporate responsibility program equips her with the insights and know how that will benefit our members as they navigate their own priorities.”
