The Public Affairs Council was founded as an organization that supports the voices of individuals and groups that choose to exercise their First Amendment rights to freedom of speech, assembly and petition.

Political engagement, including the right to protest the policies and actions of government, is not only an individual right, it is core to our strength as a democracy.

As everyone knows, Americans are speaking out right now in cities and communities across the nation. We support the individuals and organizations standing up against racism, discrimination and brutality, and we applaud the peaceful demonstrations that are the finest examples of our democracy at work.

People in this country have the right to organize and protest without fear for their safety or reprisal. At the Council we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind, and we will always fight to ensure that our employees and members feel secure in their right to voice their opinions.

As we work together to find ways to end racial violence and discrimination, please know that the Council is here to fight for your freedoms protected by the First Amendment.

We will get through this together. Thank you for everything you do.
