Job Description
Support Government Affairs Department representing the company’s best interest through grassroots initiatives, interacting with state and federal industry associations, and supporting all government relations functions.
Essential Job Duties:
- Execute grassroots initiatives by developing strategy to identify and educate parties of interest on key public policy issues.
- Act as liaison in collaboration between the Government Affairs Department and other company and/or association contacts.
- Increase the awareness and understanding of the business, industry positions and like-minded association’s initiatives.
- Coordinate legislative visits for facility tours and Capitol Days.
- Track federal and state legislative issues of interest.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Not responsible for supervising employees.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in the field, continuing education as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- Capitol Hill or advocacy experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to interact with all levels of management.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Working hours will be adjusted at the discretion of the VP to accommodate workload.
- Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions.
- Must also work under pressure comfortably.
