Are you passionate about shaping policy and driving impactful change? Novonesis is seeking a dynamic and experienced Policy Manager to join our team. As a crucial liaison between Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in influencing policy decisions across all business areas.

### In this role you’ll make an impact by:

– Acting as the primary liaison between Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration across all business areas – food and beverage, human health, and planetary health.
– Representing Novonesis at a leadership level in trade organizations and coalitions involved in policy development, advocating for the company’s interests and contributing to policy formulation.
– Engaging in covered official advocacy efforts as required, effectively articulating Novonesis’ positions and priorities.
– Taking responsibility for finalizing technical statutory language and presenting it to policymakers, ensuring clarity and accuracy in policy implementation.
– Maintaining strong relationships with relevant stakeholders in legislative and regulatory bodies, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
– Managing regulatory public comments on behalf of Novonesis, ensuring the organization’s voice is heard and considered in regulatory processes.
– Providing advisory support to Government Relations on technical policy language, leveraging expertise to inform strategic decision-making.
– Assisting in facilitating policy-heavy interactions for Novonesis leadership.
– Offering support for state-level policy initiatives as necessary, addressing regional policy considerations and advocacy efforts.

### Potentially relevant experience:

– Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, law, biology, or a related field.
– Proven experience in policy management, government relations, or regulatory affairs, with a deep understanding of the policy development process.
– Strong communication and advocacy skills, verbal and written.
– Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail in managing legislative language and regulatory comments.
– Demonstrated ability to navigate complex policy environments and provide strategic counsel to senior leadership.
– Experience working with trade organizations, coalitions, Congress, and government agencies is highly desirable.
– Familiarity with state-level policy considerations and advocacy is a plus.

**Expected salary range:** $125,000 – $155,000 base
